Murphy free-kick salvages point for Newcastle against Wolves

Jacob Murphy's late free kick salvaged a point for Newcastle United against Wolves on Sunday.

Raul Jimenez thought he'd won it for Wolves with ten minutes left when his long-range strike beat Karl Darlow.

But Murphy had the last say when he bent his free kick around the wall and just inside the post past Rui Patricio.

Wolves sit in eighth on the table, while Newcastle are in 14th.

Speaking after the game, Toon boss Steve Bruce told BBC Sport: "We didn't have any natural midfield players who want to win the ball back today. We have to defend better than we have done of late, we have to be hard to beat.

"It was hard work but that's the Premier League. Almiron does the hard work, it's very hard for me to leave him out, he's a manager's delight. He ran himself to a standstill.

"We are trying to find a balance to the team, it won't happen overnight but we are trying to change the way we play."
