Mulumbu says West Brom players fighting for their Premier League careers

Youssouf Mulumbu says West Bromwich Albion will fight for their lives in this season's relegation battle.

The midfielder admits there is a "lack of confidence" around the team at the moment.

"We didn't really expect this situation when we started this season," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"And we need to adapt to it. We won't give up because that would be unfair to all the people at West Brom and the fans. We are going to fight to stay in the Premier League.

"We know how hard it is to stay in the Premier League and we'll keep working together as a team. We have got some good players and good lads and I'm really confident in my team that we can stay up.

"At the moment there is a lack of confidence and, in that situation, the best thing is to do is encourage."
