Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller has poured fuel on the fire over the prospect of moving to Manchester United. The World Cup winner has spoken about his relationship with United boss Louis van Gaal, who gave him his debut at Bayern Munich.

Muller showed cracks in his relationship with Pep Guardiola, when the two clashed on the touchline during their Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich.

"It's a secret for nobody," Muller said.

"Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes beyond that which is normal between a player and a coach. However, I have a contract with Bayern until 2017."
