Moyes sees Sunderland friendly win as N'Zogbia features

New manager David Moyes watched his new Sunderland team warm up with a win.

Moyes - confirmed as Sam Allardyce's successor in the morning - travelled to Rotherham's New York Stadium in the afternoon to see his new players beat the Championship side 2-1, posing for pictures with fans before taking his seat in the stands.

A bleached-haired Fabio Borini had put Sunderland ahead in South Yorkshire with a 29th-minute half-volley but Jerry Yates responded seconds after the restart, lashing beyond substitute goalkeeper Vito Mannone.

A string of changes for both sides disrupted the tempo but Charles N'Zogbia, who had teed up Borini's opener, got on the scoresheet himself to seal the win, prodding beyond Lee Camp with just four minutes remaining.
