Manchester United boss David Moyes had Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler scouted on the weekend.
The People says Moyes stepping up his interest in Draxler - United scouts watched the 20-year-old in Schalke's 2-1 win against Augsburg on Friday.
The youngster has been the subject of two failed bids from Arsenal in the past two transfer windows.
