Moyes convinces Everton legend Ferguson to take first management steps

Everton legend Duncan Ferguson is taking first his steps into management.

The Daily Record says Big Dunc is now ready to make his peace with the Hampden rulers, who are running the B-licence course he will complete next week.

One of his assessors will be Ray McKinnon, a former team-mate during their playing days at Tannadice.

It's understood Goodison legend Ferguson was encouraged to take his first steps on the managerial ladder after speaking with Everton boss Davie Moyes.

Big Dunc, 39, has only recently put himself back in the spotlight after living as a virtual recluse with his family in Majorca.

He has been based there for the past five years and plans to open a coaching academy for kids on the island. But he has not ruled out a return to Britain and the chance to try his hand at management.

It's kicking off again! Click here for your No1 source for Everton transfer market news and gossip.
