Jose Mourinho has suggested that £30million signing Eric Bailly may not yet be ready for the Manchester United first team.
United spent big to secure the services of Bailly from Spanish club Villarreal earlier this summer, with the defender becoming Mourinho's first ever signing at Old Trafford.
Despite spending such a huge amount though, Mourinho has gone on to admit that he does not know if the Ivory Coast star is ready to immediately command a first team place in the United side.
Speaking to MUTV, Mourinho said, "I could compare him with some players I had previously, but I don't want to.
"He's a player we believe has all the attributes. Very strong and very fast. It's not easy to find a fast player with a big body.
"He's played a right back and that is good for a central defender.
"Is he ready? I don't know."
