Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was less than impressed with Ruben Loftus-Cheek after a lacklustre display in the 1-0 success against Sydney FC. The 19 year old was introduced in the 40th minute as striker Diego Costa was replaced, but the Blues starlet would only last another 30 minutes before being replaced after suffering with an apparent back injury.
Mourinho then criticised Loftus-Cheek's performance in Sydney, before questioning the legitimacy of his injury.
"He said it was a pain in his back but to me it looked like he only had that pain when Sydney had the ball," Mourinho told reporters.
"You could see some tired performances but performances where the senior players really tried to play football," he continued.
"I'm happy with my senior players, it's been a very long season for them."
