Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is shocked by the lack of presence being shown by the club's top brass.
Mourinho's side were beaten 2-1 by Champions League opponents Valencia at the Mestalla in midweek.
The manager was not happy that none of the key board members were there in Spain to support the side with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward away in America on business duties.
A source close to Mourinho told the Telegraph: “Nobody important from the board of directors was there in Valencia. We are near the beginning of the transfer window and nobody knows anything.
“They are not working on selling players, they are not working on buying players. And they have 58 scouts and three scouting bosses. It is ridiculous. Jose believes this is not the best way to rule a football club."
