Mourinho settles for Man Utd draw but hints at problems

Manchester United have now gone four games without a win following a scoreless draw at home to Valencia in Group H of the Champions League.

Boss Jose Mourinho has previously criticised his players attitude this season and whilst you could not dispute their effort it was a disjointed performance in which they lacked a cutting edge and could even have lost had Valencia took their chances on the break.

It was a brief but concise post match press conference from Mourinho who was pleased with the performance if not the result.

"I was pleased with the improvement and the attitude but not perhaps with the result.

"We had probably a couple of the biggest chances to win it but I have accepted the result as a fair result. I said in pre-season last season was phenomenal to finish second. And I don't say more than that.

"The players tried. They raised the level of their efforts. They raised the level of their intensity in spite of the fact we don't have many with that intensity. We don't have the technical quality to build from the back.

"It is a not a bad result. Not a good result, but not bad. We have two matches against Juventus to make points. It is a very difficult group, yes.
