Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is spying Mauricio Pochettino's job at Tottenham.

The Sun says he is keeping a close eye on the Tottenham situation — despite believing the Real Madrid job will be his if he wants it.

Mourinho has told friends he is confident of being offered the post if and when Zidane goes.

But the TV pundit also confided he would not necessarily accept, partly because of the possibility of taking over at Spurs.

Pochettino's future in North London is uncertain barely five months since he took the club to their first Champions League final.

If Pochettino, 47, were to resign or be sacked following the team's poor start to the season, Tottenham's options for an immediate replacement would be limited.
