Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho will be in Spain today ahead of a Real Madrid medical. The Portugal international, 32, has agreed terms on a two-year contract and Chelsea have accepted a £6 million offer from Real for the defender.
Carvalho will arrive in Madrid this afternoon to meet with Real officials and finalise terms. He will take his medical tomorrow.
Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho worked the deal, himself, having flown to London on Monday for face-to-face talks with Carvalho in order to convince him about moving to Spain.
