Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insists they rescued the League Cup ten years ago. Mourinho led Chelsea to a League Cup final win against Liverpool in 2005 - which began a run of trophies during his first spell at the club.

"Lots of teams have followed us since then when we took the League Cup as a real competition, as a real challenge. It is a big competition," he said.

Chelsea face Tottenham in the League Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.
