Premiership clubs will be offered the chance to bring Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho back to England.
The Sunday Times says Mourinho has told friends that he neither wants to consider nor decide on his future until after the Champions League final.
The former Chelsea manager has instructed his agent, Jorge Mendes, to canvas offers from interested clubs for him to assess once the season is complete. Mendes has gone furthest with Real Madrid, who are seeking to replace Manuel Pellegrini.
He has carefully monitored developments at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City and is aware that the latter two positions could become vacant this summer. Sir Alex Ferguson has said he will recommend the 47-year-old as the next Manchester United manager when the Scot eventually retires.
