Morton teen Jai Quitongo watched by Crystal Palace, Swansea

Greenock Morton teenager Jai Quitongo is being watched by Crystal Palace and Swansea City.

The Mail on Sunday says the teenager has produced a string of eye-catching performances this season and scored five goals to help Scottish Championship side Morton set up a League Cup semi-final date with Aberdeen later this month.

Morton rejected a £100,000 bid from Doncaster Rovers for Quitongo in the summer but face a battle to keep him as his contract runs out next year.

Premier League clubs Palace and Swansea have made checks on his form and are keen to speak to him in January when he is free to talk to foreign clubs.

Brighton, Preston and Wigan have also taken notice of his recent performances and are lining up their own offers for Quitongo, whose father Jose was himself a much travelled winger and cult figure in Scotland.
