Morrison eager for long Cup run with West Brom

West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison hopes they take the Capital One Cup seriously.

He was part of the Baggies side which made it to the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley in 2008 before narrowly losing out to Portsmouth.

And he admits he would love to have another shot at lifting a trophy with the club.

"Personally I would like a cup run," the midfielder said ahead of tonight's tie with Hull City. "In recent years we've been terrible in the cups.

"The last run we had was when we got to Wembley and what a great day it was, when we had a chance of getting to a final.

"Time is running out for me so I'm well up for the cup and we've got a squad to compete now.

"If you look at the bench there are a few starters on that bench so it will be up to the manager how he uses them."
