Morocco goalkeeper Munir has defended the form of Manchester United No1 David de Gea.

It's been revealed De Gea is yet to make a save for Spain at the World Cup - the only goalkeeper in the tournament to do so.

Numancia's Munir is aware of the criticism De Gea is receiving from the Spanish press and has jumped to defend his peer.

"Looking at it from outside I do not understand it because he has been showing for a long time that he is one of the best in the world," said Munir.

"You should not doubt him because in the long run he will give a lot to the National Team and will show what he has been doing with his club."
