Manchester United are being encouraged in their pursuit of Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Fernandes after Tottenham ruled out a move for the midfielder, says the Daily Mail.
Sporting have contacted a number of Premier League clubs over a potential deal for Fernandes, with the Portuguese outfit looking to raise at least £50 million by selling the in-demand player.
Manchester City have already distanced themselves from a potential move for the midfielder, while Liverpool and Leicester City are also understood to be among those to have rejected approaches from the club.
That would open the door for United to complete a deal for the midfielder in the coming weeks.
