Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti says they were far too strong for AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana.

Inter won the Supercoppa in Riyadh 3-0 on Wednesday.

Moratti said, "Inter dominated the match and there was a big gap between the two teams on the field. Both as regards the quality of the game and for enthusiasm and liveliness.

"Certainly Milan took the field with less force. I don't know if it's an athletic or psychological issue. Surely everything starts from the head, but Milan is out of shape right now, it looks very tired.

"But I think the stop for the World Cup has also influenced.

"(Edin) Dzeko, at 37, continues to play football of the highest level and last night's goal is confirmation of this. He dominated the opposing defence and scored a goal of extraordinary beauty, which became a symbol of this great victory in the Supercoppa."
