Moratti feels Inter Milan team development suffered blow in Cologne

Former Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti feels losing the Europa League final was a blow for Antonio Conte's team.

Moratti believes victory would've taken the team to a new level.

He said, "Inter were in great shape going into the Final, beating some very tough teams, but Sevilla have such a strong tradition in the Europa League. This can make the difference in football.

“It would've been important for Inter to win the Europa League, as it'd give the players the sense they are members of a winning club and boost motivation going forward.

“As for Conte, it all depends on the rapport he has with the President, but nobody can put his capabilities as a coach up for debate. He has done very well this season with some excellent results."
