Belgian defender Laurent Ciman is on the verge of finalizing his move to Montreal Impact.
It has been revealed by Impact technical director Adam Braz that the Impact will soon complete the signing of the 29-year old after agreeing a deal with Standard Liege.
"Laurent is a player we identified and targeted," Braz told MLSsoccer.com.
"He is in the final stages of coming to an agreement with his club team to mutually terminate his contract and we hope to have everything finalized in the near future."
Ciman, who has played nine times for Belgium, is making the move for the good of his family so he can seek specialist treatment for his first-born daughter who has autism with Canada considered to be a 'first-rate option'.
