Montpellier striker Gaëtan Laborde remains on the shopping list of West Ham.
West Ham are in 'pole position' to land Laborde.
L'Equipe carry an interview with the front-man and introduce the chat by claiming the Hammers are battling Zenit St Petersburg for his signature.
It is claimed they made a winter proposal of a loan worth €2.5m, with an option to make it permanent for €12.5m.
Asked directly about a West Ham offer, Laborde said: “Not all of the lights were green to leave in January. I stuck with the club and gave it my all. Laurent Nicollin (president) knows it. We are both fair. I know the opportunities are there."
