Montpellier president Loulou Nicollin has slapped a £22 million price-tag on Emir Spahic.
Spahic has declared this week that he is close to joining the Gunners.
The defender's comments have angered Nicollin, who declared: "What he's said, I'm unhappy about. If he wants to leave, we won't hold him against his will. Nobody is irreplaceable.
"He has three years on his contract and that's worth something.
"They signed (Laurent) Koscielny from Lorient for €12 million so ... Spahic, he is worth three Koscielnys."
