Montero content with ambitious Seattle Sounders

Fredy Montero says he is happy to remain with MLS club Seattle Sounders.

The 24-year old Colombian midfielder has emerged as the main man in Seattle and suggests he is content to continue playing in the rapidly improving North American league despite his initial goal being to get to Europe via the MLS stepping stone.

"Yes," was Montero's response when he was asked by elespectador.com if he is happy in Seattle.

"Here the leaders are very ambitious and want to soon be one of the best leagues in the world, playing the Copa Libertadores, like the Mexicans, and other things. (They) have demonstrated how to do it and they will achieve."

And of his current deal, Montero indicated that he will be remaining with the Sounders for at least the next two years amidst rumours that some clubs away from MLS are beginning to show considerable interest.

"For two years, with possibility of renewal or leave if you get something very good on the outside," he added.
