Bob Moncur believes that new Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren can get the best out of Cheick Tiote.
While Tiote has been a star for Newcastle since his arrival to the club a few seasons ago, the midfielder endured a torrid campaign last year and is touted to exit St James' Park this summer.
However, with the arrival of his former FC Twente manager McClaren there is a possibility that Tiote could stay put at and Moncur feels that the new Magpies boss can get the very best out of the Ivory Coast international.
Moncur wrote in his column for Chronicle: "Cheick Tiote is a player that Steve McClaren might get the best out of again after working with him in the past. There's no doubt he can be an influence for the team when he is on form and playing at this best."
