AS Roma chief Monchi insists he's happy where he is.

The former Sevilla sports director has been linked with Barcalona amid pressure growing on his choices in the transfer market.

"I am happy to work here and I hope to stay here for many years, until the confidence I feel now no longer remains," said Monchi.

"I ask you to stop talking about my departure because I have no desire to leave Rome.

"I still have to improve to do better, my only idea is to stay in Rome for a long time."
