AS Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas has offered advice to PSG star Kylian Mbappe about reaching the elite level.

Mbappe hit a hat-trick for PSG's 3-1 win over ASM over the weekend.

Cesc, who missed the game, said of the striker: "Whenever I look at Mbappé, I imagine myself on the ground with him. He is still moving, his body is always turned in the right direction to launch and escape the defenders. Sometimes I say to my friends, 'If I had played with this guy, I would have had a lot of fun'.

"If he continues as described to me, humble, listening, he wants to learn, improve, he continues to be serious, be disciplined then the sky is his limit.

"At the level of Messi and CR7? He must prove it. For me, it's hard to imagine or believe that there will be another Lionel Messi. Cristiano Ronaldo has an incredible mentality, but I see similar things with Mbappé.

"At a young age, he has a big personality. He is sure of himself, he does not go back to any defender. He does not."
