Portsmouth captain Aaron Mokoena will be surprised if David James is not in goal for England tonight against the USA.

Mokoena helped South Africa to a 1-1 draw with Mexico in yesterday's World Cup opener.

He said: "I said it long ago - Jamo is the best. If he's not England number one then there's a big problem.

"I have seen him all season and for me there is no-one better for his country. He has to play. We will all be surprised if he does not play in the World Cup. He showed again in the FA Cup final the quality player he is."
