Former Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri is being backed for the Italy job.
Ranieri is currently in charge of Nantes, but high profile agent Alessandro Moggi believes FIGC should move for the Roman.
"It is not easy to answer but I would see Claudio Ranieri doing well," said Moggi on TMW Radio.
"He is a great coach, he gets the Italians to agree and he would work great. If you could get to (Carlo) Ancelotti or (Roberto) Mancini to come that would be good, but I do not think it's easy."
Ranieri has Nantes on track for European qualification this season.
