Recent reports suggest that MLS rosters may expand to 30 players, beginning next season.
With news that the season will be extended to 34 matches in 2011, FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman revealed that MLS may also expand the number of players on a club's list.
"The roster is going to be extended were at a 24 man roster and with home grown players we've put ourselves really at a 26 man roster and next year it's going to be a 30 man roster," he told Big D Soccer.
"So our league was very sensitive to the fact that we're going to ask you to do more games but we want you to have more players."
The player increase is expected to also expand the salary cap as clubs will need an increased boundary with a larger number of plays to accommodate.
