MK Dons boss Dan Micciche has confirmed free agent Nigel Reo-Coker is training with the club.

If the Dons can strike a deal to sign the 33-year-old it will see him link-up again with his former team-mate Dean Lewington.

Lewington has been working with the MK Dons as a player-coach under the new boss Micciche. Sky Sports says Reo-Coker, formerly of West Ham. could fill a similar senior role.

Micciche said: “We had Nigel in to train with us yesterday. He's a smashing lad.

“He's got fantastic experience and we'll how things develop in the next week or so. He's been a captain at three Premier League clubs and his experience is there for all to see."
