Ayoze Perez is confident he can form a strong on-field relationship with Newcastle United teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Spaniard and the Serbian worked well together in the weekend's 2-2 draw with Chelsea and Perez is hoping to combine for plenty of goals throughout the season as the Magpies look to move out of the relegation zone.
"Mitro and I felt comfortable together. We played closer together and spoke a lot to each other about what we wanted to do," said Perez who scored the opener and provided the second for Georgina Wijnaldum on Saturday.
"We have shown we can score many goals together.
"We have to keep this standard. There are no excuses. We have done the work, and we have to do that against every team.
"It was a much better performance against Chelsea. But we have to keep it this way. That is the standard."
