Arsenal have held talks with Freiburg over young defender Caglar Soyuncu.

The 21-year-old has been identified by Gunners recruitment chief Sven Mislintat, who has vast knowledge of German football.

The Bundesliga club fended off Sevilla and Besiktas to secure Soyuncu's signature for just £2.4million in 2016.

And according to the Daily Mail, it will now cost Arsenal £30million for the centre-back who has been touted as the next Mats Hummels.

Soyuncu has won 9 caps for Turkey since making his senior international debut in 2016.
