Millwall are chasing Southampton midfielder Richard Chaplow.
The Sun says Millwall will step up their bid to sign Chaplow, 28, as Liam Trotter will miss the start of the season.
Lions midfield star Trotter has had knee surgery and could be sidelined for six weeks.
