Former Leeds and England fullback Danny Mills has urged the club to sign Dwight Gayle this summer.
The Whites failed in their promotion bid this season after being on target for automatic promotion for much of the campaign.
And Mills thinks Gayle, who scored 20 goals for West Bromwich Albion on loan from Newcastle, is the type of striker they need to secure a passage to the top-flight.
Mills who told Football Insider: "Their top scorer is Kemar Roofe, who's scored 15 goals in total, which is not outstanding. He's done well but it's not enough.
"Leeds need a striker who can score 20-plus goals. You think of someone like Dwight Gayle, who is far more prolific, and he could make all the difference."
