Danny Mills says he's already kissed-and-made-up with new Derby County teammate Robbie Savage.
"Sav's great. He will get about the place, give it a lift and you need characters like that.
"He takes the pressure off me with away fans too. Instead of getting booed for 90 minutes it might be only 45 now!"
Derby may be heading for relegation but Mills still believes there is something to aim for this season - not to finish bottom of the Premier League.
He added: "There are players fighting for their futures here - either at this club or other clubs, myself included.
"We want to do everything to restore some pride in the club.
"We're not daft - apart from Sav, of course! We know it would take a miracle to stay up.
"But not finishing bottom, that should be our aim."
