Miller warns Aberdeen contract rebels

Chris Clark, Zander Diamond, Michael Hart, Jamie Langfield and Barry Nicholson have all been offered terms to stay at Pittodrie.

No agreements have yet been reached and Dons director of football Miller is anxious for the matter to be resolved before the turn of the year.

"There will be no improved deals for players who have yet to sign new contracts, regardless if we reach the last 32 of the UEFA Cup," Miller told the Daily Record.

"It is now a matter of take it or leave it for these players. I want the situation resolved one way or another within the next two weeks.

"The three-and-a-half year deals offered are the best possible with the finances available to me.

"Reaching the next phase of the UEFA Cup could generate extra revenue, but it will be directed towards strengthening the team by bringing in one or two new players in January.

"It will not be used to offer improved deals to the players who are out of contract in the summer."
