Miller resigned to non-acceptance by Rangers supporters

He re-signed for the Gers from Derby County earlier this summer, but the deal has been criticised by sections of the club's fanbase.

The former Celtic player was jeered during the friendly win over Preussen Munster on Sunday and concedes he may always have a battle to get the supporters on his side.

"You have to put it to one side and focus on the game to get the job done," Miller told the Daily Record.

"I knew the script when I was coming here. The main thing is that the club is successful. If I play a part in that, brilliant. At the end of the season, if we have the league in the bag, the fans will be happy.

"Yeah, they might never accept me, but I want the same as them and that is the club to be successful. We all want the same thing.

"I can't change the way I play. When I'm out there, everything I have got goes into the game.

"Hopefully that - and a lot of goals - will win the supporters over and make them realise I am here trying everything to make us successful."
