Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is backing their bid for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

The Reds are being heavily linked with a move for the £25million-rated striker Benteke, who was part of the Aston Villa side smashed 4-0 by Arsenal in the FA Cup final.

Mignolet will be joined by at least one fellow Belgian in the summer when forward Divock Origi makes his switch from Lille.

And the goalkeeper said: "I'm going to talk with Benteke about the Liverpool rumour.

"It would be fine to have three Belgians at the club.

"It'll be a pleasure to welcome Divock to the club and the city."
