Middlesbrough, West Brom keen on Tottenham winger Pritchard

Premier League returnees Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion are both showing interest in Alex Pritchard.

The Northern Echo is of the belief that Boro, who have won promotion back to the to flight, have retained the 23-year-old winger on their transfer list for around a year and are continuing to monitor his situation.

Spurs are reportedly willing to sell Pritchard for around £8million this summer and the fact Aitor Karanka has a strong relationship with Mauricio Pochettino could quite possibly see him on his way to the Riverside Stadium.

Boro wanted Pritchard on loan on January but were beaten to the former England U21 international, who can also operate as a playmaker, by West Brom for whom he made just three appearances after returning from an ankle injury.

Naturally, the Baggies are now being linked with an end-of-season move for Pritchard who has seen his opportunities at Tottenham limited by the development of Dele Alli and the strong form of Erik Lamela, Mousa Dembele and Christian Eriksen.
