Middlesbrough are reportedly in talks with Steaua Bucharest in a bid to sign Romania international striker Nicolae Dica.

Boro have struggled for goals so far this season and the Teessiders are thought to have bid £3.5million for the striker, who is out of contract in the summer.

His agent, Dumitru Tudor, told prosport.ro: "Valeriu Argaseala (Steau president) has been discussing for two days with those from Middlesbrough."
