Middlesbrough skipper Downing still believes in survival

Middlesbrough captain Stewart Downing refuses to give up hope of beating the drop.

After defeat at Arsenal, next up is Manchester United and Downing said: "It can definitely be done. You always get some chances against the top teams but you have to convert them. We haven't done that against Arsenal but we have to against Manchester United.

"I've spoken to some of the Manchester United players in the past and they don't like coming to the Riverside. It should be an exciting game but hopefully we can get what we need."
