Middlesbrough have rejected two bids for Jordan Rhodes but Aston Villa have cooled their interest in the striker, according to Sky Sports.
It is understood that one bid for the 26-year-old was from Sheffield Wednesday and it is thought that Boro want upwards of £9m for Rhodes.
Rhodes joined the club from Blackburn Rovers for £9m in February last year.
