Premier League new boys Middlesbrough are plotting a summer swoop for Newcastle United keeper Tim Krul, according to the Daily Star.
The 28-year-old Dutchman, who missed the majority of last season with a cruciate injury, has only one year left on his current deal with the Magpies.
Krul's future at the north east club was thrown into further doubt after Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez signed Belgium Under-21 goalkeeper Matz Sels from Gent and it is believed that Boro could now make a move for his services ahead of their top fight return.
