Middlesbrough are moving for Brighton target Paddy McNair.

Sky Sports says Boro have made a £5m bid for Sunderland midfielder McNair.

The Black Cats have also turned down two bids from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion, with the second of those being worth £3.5m.

McNair has attracted interest from a number of clubs so far this summer, after Sunderland were relegated from the Championship to League One in the 2017-18 campaign.

Brighton are expected to try again this week.
