Middlesbrough goalkeeper Tomas Mejias has joined Rayo Vallecano.
Boro have confirmed that Mejias has joined Spanish second division side Rayo Vallecano on a six-month loan.
Mejias had not made an appearance for Aitor Karanka's Boro this season and featured only in cup competitions last year.
The shot-stopper is a former Real Madrid player.
