Middlesbrough keeper Tomas Mejias is in Spain with a view to completing a loan move to Rayo Vallecano.

It is understood the 27-year-old Spaniard, who joined the Teessiders from Real Madrid's B team during the summer of 2014 after a month-long loan spell the previous season, is close to sealing a deal to spend the remainder of the season in his native country.
