Bolton Wanderers striker Zach Clough was left out of their League One opener against Sheffield United yesterday.
The Daily Mail says Clough is a target for Middlesbrough and Fulham.
The highly-rated 21-year-old tweaked a hamstring injury last week and was left out as a precaution by manager Phil Parkinson.
Bolton still need to generate funds and Clough is viewed as one of their most viable assets with the club willing to sell for around £2million.
Clough scored six goals in ten games during his breakthrough season and managed another seven last year despite missing part of campaign with a dislocated shoulder.
