Middlesbrough face competition for Real Madrid midfielder Enzo Zidane.

Real Madrid are willing to send the Spain youth international away on-loan this season and Boro are keen.

However, it's emerged Sporting Gijon and Alcorcon have also made contact to register their interest.

Enzo is the son of Real coach Zinedine Zidane, who is close to Boro boss Aitor Karanka, which gives the Teessiders an edge.

But there is concern over the midfielder's playing chances in the Premier League and there is a belief that Gijon or Alcorcon would be the better option.
