Middlesbrough and Derby County are keeping tabs on Jay DeMerit's contract row at Watford.
The Mirror says DeMerit says he'll leave Watford if his £10,000-a-week wage demands are not met. The 27-year-old American has attracted interest from Middlesbrough and Derby. He said: "It is early stages but I will consider my options."
Boss Aidy Boothroyd said: "Jay's contribution to us is priceless."
